This Privacy Policy describes how Bonocle Tech Inc. (“Bonocle,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information in connection with the Bonocle Platform, which includes the BoQuest student application and the BoDesk teacher dashboard (together, the “Platform”).By accessing or using the Platform, Schools, Teachers, and Students agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Platform, including Schools, Teachers, and Students. It covers data collected through BoQuest and BoDesk.
From Students:
School name
Grade Level or Age
An anonymized username selected at signup
Learning progress data related to braille and accessibility skills (practice attempts, scores, usage metrics)
We do not collect personal identifiers such as student names, email addresses, dates of birth, or contact information.
From Teachers:
Email address
School and school board affiliation
Information voluntarily provided for support or account setup
All Student and Teacher data belongs to the School or educational institution.
Bonocle processes this data as a service provider on behalf of the School.
Bonocle retains the right to use anonymized and aggregated data (e.g., “85% of students improved their braille scores in four weeks”) for research, product development, and marketing purposes.

Bonocle does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
Access to the Platform by Students is authorized and managed by Schools or Teachers.
Schools are responsible for obtaining any required parental or guardian consent under applicable laws, including COPPA in the United States and PIPEDA in Canada.
Student and Teacher data is retained for the duration of the School’s contract with Bonocle.
Upon termination of the contract, Bonocle anonymizes all Student data and deletes any personal Teacher data, unless retention is required by law.
Data is stored on Microsoft Azure cloud servers located in Canada and/or the United States.
Teacher accounts are restricted to accessing Student data within the same jurisdiction as their School, except where independent Teachers work with students internationally.
Bonocle does not sell or share user data with third parties.
Bonocle uses trusted third-party service providers such as Microsoft Azure solely for hosting and infrastructure purposes.
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. However, no system is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted within the Platform (BoQuest and BoDesk apps) and on our website. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
